Parts in Clay- IFS based session
Parts in Clay is a therapeutic session that brings the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model into the physical world of clay.
Offered in my Burnaby studio as part of my counselling practice, this work combines therapy and clay in a direct, experiential way.
I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, and alongside teaching pottery, I work with clients supporting anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.
Over 90 minutes, we slow down, tune into the body, and meet the different parts of ourselves that want to be seen. Through guided mindfulness and a free-flow engagement with clay, you will explore the shapes, gestures, and textures that arise as your inner system finds its voice and movement. The process often includes reflection, dialogue between parts, and a short writing exercise to help crystallize the experience.
This session invites curiosity, compassion, and creativity. It is designed for individuals or small, familiar groups of up to six people booking together.
There is no finished ceramic piece — the value is in the process.
Depending on your plan, sessions may be covered under Registered Therapeutic Counselling or Art Therapy services.
